Huddah Monroe lands major deal with international company
Mula Shops enables customers to discover and try products before purchasing thanks to the integration of Augmented Reality into Facebook Messenger.
Huddah’s brand Huddah cosmetics has been selected as the first social commerce merchant on Mula Shops and the entrepreneur couldn’t help at marvel at how far her company has come since it was established 2 years ago.
“I started my company out of pure passion and vision to offer every woman a product that celebrates the diversity of African beauty. Huddah Cosmetics is for every woman who is strong-willed, outspoken and stands for what they believe regardless of what the society thinks, ”said Huddah Monroe. “I am excited to be the first Hustle-preneur to work with Cellulant and Facebook as they launch Mula shops using Augmented Reality on Facebook Messenger. This is an opportunity for my company to give a unique online shopping experience of our beauty products to our customers in a way that has never happened before.”
Secret to success
Huddah Monroe believes that the reason why her company has grown exponentially is that she introduced products that work for the African market.
“People ask me how I managed to make the brand a success and I tell them it’s because I was able to bring into the market a product that complements the African skin. I have been a victim of buying expensive makeup from Europe that don't compliment my skin colour as makeup should do,” she told Business Daily.
