Residential apartments sinking in Ruaka (Photos)

The heavy rains have left residents living in Ruaka living in fear after a certain apartment started sinking due to the heavy rains.

The reports making rounds on social media have confirmed that the Lancore apartment in Ruaka is apparently sinking. The apartment is not suited far from Ruaka shopping mall and most of the tenants living there have already moved out.

The residents are not quite sure whether to blame the rains or the poor foundation. Judging from the pictures, the grills have been suppressed while the pillars in the car park are already sinking down wards.

From the photos we have received, most residents have moved out in fear of the building collapsing when they are away at work or when asleep. The owner of the building has however not addressed the issue but National construction Authority (NCA) and other authorities will soon get to the bottom of the matter before any lives are put in jeopardy.
