Kissing scenes are slowly becoming commonplace in the Kenyan TV and film scene but not everyone is willing to lock lips with their co-stars even for a lucrative deal.
Why Nyce Wanjeri refuses to do kissing scenes
I don’t do kissing scenes - The former Auntie Boss actress said.
And one of these people is Nyce Wanjeri who isn’t down with smooching anyone on screen as it is way out of her comfort zone, she would feel guilty.
“Kwanza hiyo ya kissing I can't. I am sorry. I am an actress but there are some things I can’t do. I will feel guilty all my life. This is what I say, in every character you are given an opportunity to become someone else but there is still you,” Nyce said during an interview with KM Network.
Nyce is not the only actor who refuses to kiss on screen, Desperate Housewives, Suits and Arrow actor Neal McDonough has a no-kissing rule due to is religious beliefs and an undying devotion to his wife and family.
“I won’t kiss any other woman because these lips are meant for one woman,” he told Closer Weekly.
A stance that reportedly cost him 1 million dollars for refusing to participate in intimate scenes with his co-star Virginia Madsenon on the set of ABC show Scoundrels. In addition, he was branded a ‘religious zealot’
“I was (surprised) and it was a horrible situation for me. After that, I couldn’t get a job because everybody thought I was this religious zealot. I am very religious. I put God and family first, and me second. That’s what I live by. It was hard for a few years. But I was not going to lose the fight. And it worked. My career has been phenomenal,” the Minority Report actor said.
