Court remands 2 men over alleged armed robbery

They suspects were docked on a two-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.

An Ilorin Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 13, ordered the remand of two men-

They were docked on a two-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.

They were accused of robbing one Folashade Kishira of her milk colour Toyota Camry car with registration number KSB 171 JB.

The Magistrate, Mr Mohammed Adeniyi, who ordered the remand of the accused at Mondala Prison, adjourned the case until Sept. 20, for further mention.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Al-hassan Jubri, told the court that the defendants armed themselves with gun and robbed the victim of his car and techno handset on June 26, at GRA Ilorin.

The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 97 of the Penal Code Law and 6 (B) Special Provision Act Cap RII, Law of Nigeria 2004.
