Kenyan Man kills brother In-law over a puff of Cigarette

The man identified as Maxwell Mwaingolo stabbed his brother in-law Rama Kombo Malau with a kitchen knife.

It’s reported Mwaingolo was not willing to share his stick of cigarette prompting Malau hurl abuses at him.

Mwaingolo was charged with the murder of his brother in-law but did not plead to the charges as the courts directed to have his mental status checked by a psychiatrist.

Police said Mwaingolo stabbed his brother- in-law with a kitchen knife after he abused him in-front of his wife.

Mwaingolo out of anger, is alleged to have dashed to the kitchen where he grabbed a knife and stabbed Malau.

An autopsy report is yet to be produced to show how Malau met this death.

The court ordered that Mwaingolo be remanded at Shimo La Tewa maximum prison pending a psychiatrist test at Coast General Hospital CGH to prove he was mentally fit to stand trial.

Mwaingolo is expected to plead to his charges on February 21 2018 when the psychiatrist report will be ready.
