The award ceremony seeks to recognize the pivotal contributions made by the Sikh community across a variety of fields, from business, charity, education, entertainment, media, professional services, selfless service, and sport, with winners selected across the globe from Asia, USA, Australia, Europe, Africa, Canada and the Middle East. This was the first time that the prestigious event, which is now in its 9th year was being held in Africa.
Julie Gichuru was one of the guests in attendance and she did not miss the red carpet fashion memo as she stole the day in a bustier dress with embroidery details, by designer extraordinaire, Aulgah Nato, of Nato Designs. Julie accessorized the statement gown with a simple hair accessory and kept the makeup minimal.
The former news anchor was joined by her friends, TV girls, Karen Knaust and Anjlee Gadhvi who also looked stunning in their elegant outfits.
