Murkomen roasted as Hustler narrative returns to haunt him

Kipchumba Murkomen

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen found himself on the receiving end after netizens descended on him mercilessly for questioning KTN presenter Tony Gachoka’s palatial home.

It all started after Gachoka shared a video of his palatial home with well-manicured lawns, an expansive swimming pool.

Murkomen was quick to respond, questioning how Gachoka had come to possess such a princely mansion from “known” income.

“From whom did you grab it? We know your salary.” Murkomen commented.

His comment elicited an angry reaction from netizens, with some accusing him of taking part in the plunder of public resources, alleging that Murkomen has ammased immense wealth in questionable circumstances.

On the other hand, others defended the Pointblank presenter, stating that he came from a wealthy family and began his hustle years back when Murkomen was still in school and owning such a home is no surprise.

Murkomen was also at odds to explain if his firm belief in Rags to Riches had changed. The Senator has been one of DP Ruto’s loyal foot-soldiers, selling the hustler narrative of rags to riches at any given opportunity.

Others alleged that the two are fruits of the same tree, alleging that Murkomen only questioned Gachoka’s wealth without auditing himself and coming clean on how he came to own his possessions running into millions of shillings.

The two have openly clashed with Gachoka linking Murkomen to the failed Kimwarer dam project that saw the country lose billions to corrupt cartels working with Kenya’s elite politicians and civil servants.

Below are more reactions from netizens.
