International media house, Reuters has appointed former NTV journalist Catherine Gicheru to its advisory board.

Gicheru was named to the Reuters Institute Advisory Board where she will join seven others to further the institute’s research and fundraising activities.
She was selected from a pool of elite persons who have excelled in the fields of journalism, policy making, academia and business.
Gicheru sharpened her skills at Nation Media Group, rising to become the first female news editor and first female bureau chief at the Aga-Khan-owned media house.
She was also the pioneer editor of The Star newspaper before transitioning to the role of a Journalist Fellow at the Reuters Institute in 2013-14.
The former NMG boss currently works at Code for Africa’s Academy and Communities Program.
