Shock as Kenyan steals Sh130 Million in Dubai

The Dubai Police have been put on high alert and have launched a man hunt for the Kenyan suspect who is on the run.

According to Gulf News, the Kenyan guard executed the theft of the millions from a money transport vehicle during refilling cash at an ATM in a shopping mall.

The police have been put on high alert and have launched a man hunt for the suspect who is believed to be on the run after the highly calculated heist.

“The suspect and his workmate were near the ATM in the mall when the suspect distracted the second guard. The suspect told the second guard that he is going to the bathroom and took the bag containing the money and escaped,” a Dubai police official said.

The second security guard kept waiting for the suspect for a while, then he informed his company which alerted Dubai Police.

Dubai Police questioned the security guard who denied having any knowledge that the suspect was planning to steal the cash.

“The suspect, in his 20s, recently joined the company. We alerted all the ports and are still trying to arrest him,” the official said.

According to the Dubai Police, theft of money in transit is very rare in and security firms providing money transit services are trained regularly to keep a track of their employees.
