It has now emerged that one of the seven suspects arrested for conning city billionaire Naushad Merali by mimicking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s voice, worked as personal assistant to Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa.

Pulselive.co.ke surveyed his Facebook profile where he posted numerous photos hanging out with Wamalwa at his office.
Wanjekeche also responded to the press on behalf of Wamalwa, one instance being a story where the CS had been accused of lobbying for a Cabinet seat through Western MPs.
He also shared other photos having up close moments with both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Ken Lusaka
In June 2018 when Wanjekeche lost his mother, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka accompanied Wamalwa to the funeral that was also attended by several MPs.
Lusaka identified the man is now a suspected fraudster as a “friend”.
“Earlier today, I joined mourners in Tongaren, Bungoma County in sending off the late Bernadette Wanyonyi - mother to my friend Isaac Wanjekeche. May she rest in eternal peace,” Lusaka stated after attending the burial ceremony.
It was not immediately clear if the suspect was still working for Wamalwa at the time of his arrest.
