President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kabarak to mourn with Mzee Moi over Jonathan Moi's death

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday afternoon flew to Kabarak where he paid a visit to former President Daniel arap Moi to condole him following the passing on of his eldest son, Jonathan Toroitich Moi.

President Kenyatta was received by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, the youngest son to President Moi.

The head of state, who is close family friend of the Mois, had earlier mourned Jonathan as a generous person, a pioneer in motorsport as a rally driver, and as a successful farmer, businessman and entrepreneur.

"JT, as Jonathan was popularly known to many of us, was a humble, kind, generous and courageous person. JT's word was always his bond, he was dependable".

"Many of us will always remember JT for his pioneering exploits in motorsport as a rally driver and as a successful farmer, businessman and entrepreneur," President Kenyatta said.

Jonathan, the eldest of Mzee Moi's children, was a retired rally driver who died at the age of 64 on Friday, a few weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
