Romanian coach Dorian Marin has instituted legal proceedings against Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards over ‘wrongful dismissal’.
The 57-year old coach joined AFC Leopards in early June and stood on the touchline against Mathare United as the only KPL match before he was shown the exit door.
The club’s administration has insisted that they have no agreement with the former Simba SC coach but the tactician says the club recognized him as the head coach in a letter written to Tanzania’s embassy during SportPesa Super Cup tournament where he took charge against Gor Mahia.
In an exclusive interview with P Live, the former Eritrea national team head coach confirmed that he has officially lodged his complaints with Football Kenya Federation and Kenyan Premier League Limited over the issue.
“I have written to FKF and KPL over the issue and I hope they will address my case as fast as possible. I have proof that I was appointed AFC Leopards head coach and they (AFC) risk compensating me a lot of money if they mess around with me.”
Apart from his salary and sign-on fee, he is also complaining that Ingwe have not paid his July rent too.
