Barely a few weeks since Samuel Abisai won Sh221 million, the SportPesa Mega Jackpot millions has a new set of winners.
SportPesa on Tuesday unveiled three winners who won last week’s Mega Jackpot prize money of Sh111, 176, 374.
One of the winners was 60-year-old mother of six, Florence Machogu.

Machogu now becomes only the third woman in Kenya to win the SportPesa millions after Elimah Khanaitsa who won 22,049, 424 shillings in January last year and Quinter Nimo who won 31,002,159 shillings in March this year.
She also becomes the eldest woman in Kenyan history to win the SportPesa Mega Jackpot.
Machogu’s correct prediction of all 17 games has now earned her a cool Sh37,058,791.
The other who won besides her were Daniel Rono and Geofrey Keitany who is a a GSU officer based in Baringo County.
Machogu is a primary school teacher who hails from Molo in Nakuru County.
For her, the unexpected riches is a perfect send-off package as she was set to retire from her teaching profession on June 30, next month.
Despite her advanced years, Machogu revealed that she has been betting since 2016 and was introduced by her colleagues at the workplace.
She confessed she had placed many bets which she searched for in newspapers and had not succeeded much, sometimes winning some and losing others but never gave up and continued betting.
"I was targeting Samuel Abisai’s Sh221 million mega-jackpot. When I saw Abisai won I told myself that was his luck and God was in control and He does not sleep. You have all seen mine has come. even yours will eventually come,” she advised Kenyans.
Machogu said she only spent 400 shillings to place the SportPesa Mega Jackpot after failing several times.
"I placed the first time four bets and won two of them. Those two bets I won gave me some money to enable me place more bets. I placed six more bets and won three of them. Those winnings enabled me now to place a jackpot and a Mega jackpot bet," she revealed.
However she cautioned Kenyans to be cautious and wise when betting.
“Do not spend money meant for food for betting. If you are a man, do not let your wife go to sleep hungry because of betting. However In short betting is good! It helps one develop his/her mind and look for money," Machogu added.
According to her, she will now seek advice seek advice from a team of skilled financial and legal advisors who will liaise with SportPesa in ensuring that the money is properly invested.
