Albanian Superliga side KF Tirana has confirmed the signing of Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna.
The 2016 Most Valuable Player has, for the last few weeks, been rumoured to be joining his former coach Ze Maria in Albania but it seems the transfer is already complete.
Gor Mahia have been distancing themselves from the talk insisting that nothing tangible has been tabled so far and it will be fascinating to see how they react after Ze Maria revealed to Albanian media Panorama that the former Western Stima player’s deal with KF Tirana has gone through.
“Eder Paulista came. Over the course of the week, another 2-3 players will come and I believe we will be satisfied. Ederson, Sentamu and Uellison arrived before the match with Makabi, two will come in midweek and expect the third.
“Muguna (Kenneth) comes from Gor Mahia and Toni Maveje, who is a Ugandan player are getting work permissions. I can also say that they have signed contracts with Tirana. We are modeling a team we like, with the desire to win and everything else that we missed last season," the Brazilian said.
However, when reached for a confirmation, Muguna explained that there are talks between the clubs over the transfer but insisted that it is not yet done.
“It is true that I have been approached but it is upon the two clubs (Gor Mahia and KF Tirana) to agree. If they agree I will definitely move because it could be a good move. I’m still a Gor Mahia player as at now,” he told P Live.
