HSBC World Series Good news for Kenya Rugby team Shujaa’s ahead of the Hong Kong sevens

Odhiambo left the country on April 6 for Hong Kong to join the Shujaa’s team that is already in camp at the HSBC World Rugby series.

Kanya sevens coach Innocent Simiyu has picked on Billy Odhiambo as the replacement for Willy Ambaka and Danny Sikuta.

Odhiambo left the country on April 6 to Hong Kong to join the Shujaa’s team that is already camping at the host of the 42 Edition of the HSBC World Rugby series.

Willly Odgiambo is expected to land in Hong Kong  on Thursday evening where he will join the Shujaa training camp to familiarize himself with few in tricks before the due day of action.

Shujaa will start their Hong Kong Sevens campaign with a Pool B clash against Canada at 3.18pm East African Time on Friday 7 April 2017.

Shujaa who currently sit 12th on the log with 40 points will then complete their pool matches on Saturday 8 April, starting with a fixture against series leaders South Africa at 8.56am and France at 12.34pm respectively.

Willy Ambaka and Dan Sikuta pulled out of the Kenya Sevens squad for the Hong Kong  and Singapore legs of the 2016/17 HSBC Sevens World Series due to home club commitments.

Ambaka is out due to a personal commitment while Sikuta misses this tour due to work commitments. The team’s technical bench will announce the duo’s replacements in due course.

Despite commitments, the pull out of Willy Ambaka and Dan Sikuta can be attributed to the call by their home clubs at the Kenya Cup to overlook the duty and help their teams in the ongoing games.

Early Billy Odhiambo had been left out due to a hamstring injury that he has recovered from while Oscar Ayodi (knee) and Leonard Mugaisi who has been rested for this tour.
