The Ghanaian forward, who joined the Big Cats in 2016, is currently down with injury and has been ruled out for the remaining part of the season.

However, our inside source at the Den says the majority of members of the technical bench are not happy with his performance and have proposed his exit. "Fiamenyo (Gilbert) is wanted out of AFC Leopards and I think he will never return to the club. He is simply being released in a 'clever' manner," the source who sought anonymity said.

When reached for clarification, team manager Tony Lidonde, who was cautious with his comment, only insisted that the injured striker will not be treated in Kenya.

"Fiamenyo (Gilbert) has a knee injury and he will be traveling to Ghana for treatment. He has opted for treatment outside Kenya so we have to respect his wish."

So far he is the club’s top scorer with five goals.
