The midfielder’s contract is running out this month and he has been heavily linked with a move to Sofapaka.
However, Ssimbwa has told P Live that he is aware of qualities of the player and would wish to have him at Batoto ba Mungu but explained that no communication has been made between the two parties.
“To me it would be speculation because I have not formally been informed about it and I have not talked to him too.
“But if he comes he would be welcome because he is a good player. I have monitored him play in a number of matches. He is one of the good players in this country so it can be a plus if he joins us,” he told P Live.
The mid-season transfer window closes on June 30.
