Relief as Kenya’ oldest club lands sponsorship

Shabana FC, one of the oldest clubs in the country, has finally secured a sponsor after struggling financially for long.

The Kisii-based club, which is now featuring in a lower league side, on Thursday announced betting company Dafabet as their official betting and sponsor.

The sponsorship package, which will see the company’s logo etched on the club’s shirt, is reported to be Kshs 4.5 million per year.

“We are delighted to welcome Dafabet as a sponsor of the club. They are a company with a proven track record of partnering elite sports teams around the World and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.
