Nzoia Sugar defender named the Kenyan Premier League March’s finest

The defender helped his side to keep a clean-sheet

The best player award was given in partnership with KPL sponsors SportPesa in an event that was held on Tuesday April 25 at Sudi stadium, Bungoma County.

The young player managed to secure the award after collecting 17 points, three above his closest rival Godfrey Walusimbi and six above the third placed Kenneth Muguna both of whom are Gor Mahia players.

Brian opened the league campaign with two goals against Kenya Premier League Champions Tuker FC as the Sugarmen won 5-2 at Afraha Stadium.

His brace against defending champions Tusker FC in league opener and stellar show against Mathare United thereafter are the reasons for the award which sees him walk home with Ksh100, 000 and a 49 inch LG television set. His team also bags Ksh50, 000 as a result.

He is currently one goal shy of the league’s top scorers as Nzoia Sugar prepare to lock horns with Western Stima on Wednesday.

In the second match of March the defender helped his side to keep a clean-sheet againstMathare United as the side played to a goalless draw in Bungoma.
