Timothy Otieno, Oliver Maloba and John Ndirangu scored in the second-half to hand K’Ogalo a 3-0 win over AFC Leopards in the final match of the 2017 SportPesa Super Cup tournament played on Sunday at Uhuru Stadium, Tanzania.

Speaking exclusively to P Live after the match, team manager Jolawi Obondo, who also explained why AFC Leopards were defeated, registered his happiness promising to overcome whichever team they will play from Everton in July.

“We expected a win but not by three goals.  Final is usually a difficult game so we were expecting around 1-0 or 2-0. We were just superb. And we have done it before; we have done it today (Sunday) because we beat them (AFC Leopards) just a few weeks before 3-0 so we have just repeated the score-line.

“We expect a tough game (against Everton) and it is going to be a good experience for our boys so it’s really going to be a game that we'll cherish. We will again beat them (Everton). We want to beat them here.”

They (Gor Mahia) pocketed Sh3 million and a trophy besides winning the lifetime opportunity of playing against a Premier League outfit.
