The match started on a rather tepid note without much attempts until the 15th minute mark when Yanga came closer but AFC Leopards’ defense stood tall to thwart the attempt.

It then ushered a cagey period with both teams in search of an opening goal. Gilbert Fiamenyo, who had promised to score at least a goal in the match partnered with Vincent Oburu upfront but their combination was not successful.

Nadir Ali, Abdoul Juma, Mohammed Ali and Andrew Chikupe protected Deogratias Munish in goal for the entire first-half.

Even the next 45 minutes of the second half yield no fruit for either side forcing the encounter to post-match penalties.

AFC Leopards then recorded a 4-2 triumph to stay in wait for whoever will win the second semifinal match between Gor Mahia and Nakuru AllStars.
