Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama gave the national team a special treat after a well-deserved and hard-fought victory against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.

Wanyama who plies his trade in the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur treated the team to a dinner at a five star hotel in Cairo.

The team turned up in white shirts and brown khakis and could be seen smiling and posing for photos in between meals.

The dinner was meant to celebrate a the remarkable come-back that saw the teamsecure all the three points with a 3-2 win against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars and buoy the team ahead of their clash with African football powerhouse- Senegal on Monday.

Monday will see Kenya take on wounded Senegal in a bid to progress to the knockout stages of the 2019 Afcon.

Algeria top Group C with six points. Kenya and Senegal have three points each with Tanzania at the bottom.

A win will guarantee Kenya a slot in the knock-out stages.

Thursday night’s victory against Tanzania saw the players pocket Ksh 250000 each in bonuses.

Each player will also be awarded Ksh 500,000 for participating in the continental show-piece in addition to the Ksh 250,000 each for participating in their pre-tournament training in Paris, France.
