Amina Abdi classily shut down a fan who claimed she got to the top through connections

"I was born and bred in Eastlando..."

We have seen her try it all from being a recording artiste to TV Host, Radio Presenter, MC, mother and wife. She juggles up all her talents and roles like a pro and it’s no surprise how far she’s come over the years.

Some people get to the top through connections or luck but for most people, it’s all hard work and being at the right place at the right time. Currently, Amina is hosting The Trend, one of the most watched shows in the country.

Over the past few days, following the Salon wars between Betty Kyallo and Susan Kaittany, woke KOT peeps have been talking about women in media and their sources of income.

It’s not uncommon for people to wonder how one is able to start a luxe business, drive a big car and all that jazz without side hustles. It’s not anyone’s business where people get their money or how they choose to spend their money. But when you’re in the limelight, your life is pretty much everyone’s business.

Not sure why some men are threatened by successful women and assume that the rise to the top was through the help of a man or through assistance by connected people. In some cases, that could be true but it's unfair to think that every successful woman in the country was given hand outs.

One tweep decided to come for Mama Tumi, claiming that she got to the top simply because of connections.

Amina being the fierce lady she is was having none of that and she classily clapped back to the tweep, letting him know that her talent and hard work is what made her rise to the top.

Way to go Amina.
