Exclusive: Zari Hassan reveals the reason she supports cancer awareness campaign

Why Zari supports cancer awareness

Speaking exclusively to Pulselive.co.ke on Thursday after she landed in Kenya ahead of the Saturday event, Zari disclosed that she supports the cancer awareness event because of her late mother Halima Hassan.

“The whole reason why I really decided to take on this initiative, my mom when she passed away we thought it was the sugar diabetes and high blood pressure but really like on the last minute they actually found out that she had a lamp on her pancreas. I’m doing this for my mom and everybody out there who really needs to know,” she said.

The anticipated concert is aimed at spreading cancer awareness, motherhood and other lifestyle challenges Kenyan women face.
