Celebrated KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo was on Thursday discharged from Nairobi Hospital where she underwent a surgery.

Ms. Kyallo, who never fails to keep her fans updated on what is going on in her life revealed this on her Instagram.

She divulged that it was a minor operation to remove her tonsils.

The TV girl has been suffering from tonsillitis for many years and has always postponed going under the knife.

"Happy to be home after a successful surgery to remove my tonsils. Finally did it after being scared to do so after many years yet I kept suffering with tonsillitis inflammation almost every month.  And as much as the recovery process is tough i'm looking forward to better days," she said.

Betty added: "Thanks to God for a successful procedure. Big thanks to my fantastic doctor, all my friends and family who were right by my side."
