Having your drink spiked is probably one of the worst things that can happen to you.
ï»żBoth men and women fall victims of being spikedï»ż. But why do people spike drinks? Well, rape and theft are two big motives. The sad part is that these date rape drugs are easily available even without a prescription. Unfortunately, the culprit can use more than a single dose and this can even lead to a coma or death in some cases. Date rape drugs can be put in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In alcoholic drinks, they may react in a worse manner. Usually, the drug takes effect in about 30 minutes, depending on which drug has been used and the symptoms can last for several hours.
While symptoms normally vary depending on the substance in question, these are the common symptoms to watch out for if your drink has been spiked.
