The Ministry of Education through Teachers Service Commission (TSC) revoked the legal notice which lowered grades for admission to the teacher training colleges.
This has affected 3,000 trainee teachers who had already enrolled in colleges to pursue their dreams of becoming tutors.
On Monday, the Ministry of Education announced the order to terminate the training of students who scored D+ as teachers.

Requirements will not change
TSC said that the current minimum academic and professional requirements for registration as teachers will not change.
The teacher's employer asked the affected students to be referred to Training Vocational Centers to pursue technical courses.
In April, a consent was signed before High Court judge Weldon Korir by TSC and Education ministry, among others, requiring the Cabinet Secretary to withdraw the October 2018 letter lowering the entry grade.
Qualifications for students joining teacher training colleges had been lowered, amid a decline in the number of students choosing the profession in the last two years.
