Keroche Industries Director and CEO Tabitha Karanja was on Friday morning released on a cash bail of Sh10 million on condition that she should pay it immediately.
Ms Karanja had appeared alongside her husband Joseph Karanja before Chief Magistrate Franscis Andayi.
The two were represented by Senior Counsel James Orengo who also told the court that Mr Karanja's health is at risk.

The two also denied the Sh14.4 billion tax evasion charges brought against them by DPP Noordin haji.
Magistrate Andayi directed that Mr Karanja would also be released on Sh2 million cash bail which would be payable within seven days.
Health problems
"He has recently undergone a surgery…police were able to release him before 10 last night (Thursday). Despite his medical condition and being granted a free bond he has been able to appear in court," Senior Counsel Orengo
The judge also noted that the two are investors within the country therefore they pose no risk of fleeing the country given their business interests.
Magistrate Andayi further directed that the case will be mentioned on September 2 and the pre-trial hearing on September 24.
