Gatundu South lawmaker Moses Kuria has been acquitted of incitement to violence charges.
The court which made the ruling on Friday stated that the prosecution had failed to prove its case.
In June, Kuria's lawyer said he will ask the court to acquit him for lack of evidence to put him on defence.
Appearing before the court, Kuria had denied the two counts of incitement to violence against him.

The prosecution has stated that a WhatsApp recording was of utterances alleged to have been directed at Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga and his wife Ida.
Troubled words
The court was informed that the MP committed the offence on June 26, 2015, at Gatundu stadium in Gatundu town within Kiambu County.
He is said to have uttered words that indicated it was desirable to bring death and physical injury to people.

The Member of Parliament earlier successfully objected to being charged with a "defective incitement", which he said was unconstitutional.Â
Chief inspector Kassim Baricha told the court that Kuria's statements had the potential of causing mayhem in the country.
