A family from Nakuru County is mourning the death of five of their kin in the Ethiopian Airlines crash.

According to reports, the family lost a mother, a daughter and three of their grand children in the accident which happened on Sunday, just 6 minutes after the plane took off.

Kelvin Karanja told journalists that his mother was making her way back to Kenya after being in Ethiopia for six months.

His sister and her three children were also en route to Kenya from Canada via Ethiopia before the fatal crash which claimed 149 lives on board the ET302.

Meanwhile, a family from Makueni is mourning the loss of Ann Mukui, who was among the 32 Kenyans who perished in the ET302 which went down on a field near Tulu Fara village, Bishoftu, Ethiopia.

Simon Munyao, Ms Mukui's husband narrated how a week ago they had planned to go on a week-long trip to Italy but a change of events occurred after his wife was required to attend a conference alone at Milan and Turin in Italy.

As he recounted his last moments with his wife, Munyao was grateful that the rest of the family members we still alive.

Another family in Kabaa, Machakos County is also mourning the death of their son Mutua Benard Musembi who perished in the Ethiopian Airlines crash.

The 32 Kenyans were among 18 Canadians, 6 Egyptians, 9 Ethiopians, 7 French nationals, 8 Americans, 8 Italians, 8 Chinese and 7 Britons who died in thee crash.
