The High Court has declined the Plastic manufacturers bid to suspend the implementation of the plastic bags ban.
The ban will still take effect on Monday August 28, as earlier declared by Environment Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhungu back in February.
Environment and Land Court judge Bernard Mweresa Eboso on Friday threw out the case earlier filed by plastic bag manufacturers to put an injunction to the implementation of the ban set for Monday next week.
The court however contemplates listening to the same case on September 21.
