Migori Governor Okoth Obado has spoken, ahead of Wednesdays bail application hearing.

The embattled Governor, who spoke when he was visited by MPs from the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, said it was unfortunate that leaders were using every available tool against him.

He went on to say that other leaders were going to funerals in Migori saying that he killed and ran to Raila Odinga.

“All the available tools are being used on me and now it is not only murder but many other things. It is unfortunate that even some Members of Parliament are going to funerals to say that after Obado has killed he ran to Jakom,” said Obado.

The governor also insisted that he was innocent and did not deserve to be in jail because he did nothing.

“I sincerely believe I shouldn’t be here because I did nothing and no one has said anything incriminating me,” he said.

This comes even as Okoth Obado’s bail application hearing is set to begin on Wednesday morning, together with two other co-accused in Sharon Otieno’s brutal murder.

The case will be heard by Justice Jessie Lesiit of the Milimani Court in Nairobi.
