NASA leaders from Nyanza have announced a special request about Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho following his attendance of Raila Odingas swearing in on Tuesday.
The leaders say that Joho should take over the leadership of the National Super Alliance coalition from Raila Odinga because he stood with Raila at Uhuru Park.
Following the absence of NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Senate Minority leader Moses Wetangula- divisiveness has occurred within the party's ranks.
The commitment of the three co-principals has been called into question despite Thursday's press conference where they showed up with Raila to show their solidarity.
Kalonzo had been the one "chosen" to take over the mantel from Raila come 2022, but his absence from the NASA leader's inauguration as "People's President" has created a vacuum that could easily be filled.
ODM chairman John Mbadi stated that the three co-principals can no longer be trusted. “There is no medicine for treating cowardice,” he said.
