Willy Mutunga shames Alfred Mutua in surprise night tweet

Zero chills

Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga on Monday night shamed Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua after making claims that his 2022 presidential campaign would cost Sh18 billion.

Mutua had claimed that presidential campaigns are expensive but pledged that he would go on to spend between Sh15 and 18 billion in 2022.

"My presidential ambition will be expensive; 15-18 billion. But somebody has to do it. It is worth because I am not doing it just for me but for the people of Kenya," Mutua stated.

The comment did not go well with the former Chief Justice who accused the Machakos county boss of being arrogant and engaging in "politics of theft".

"And he poses as alternative political leader! Arrogantly telling us that he will BUY that election. He should tell us how he will get his investment back. Very unintelligent to claim he is doing it for us. Politics has become an industry with theft as profit," Mutunga responded.
