Detectives attached to Parklands Police Station in Nairobi have unveiled two faces believed to be behind wave of theft linked to laptops and mobile phones along Luthuli Avenue in Nairobi’s central Business District.
The officers apprehended two key suspects and recovered nine laptops, which are believed to have been stolen recently.
They have added that already one laptop has since been positively identified by the owner.
Detectives from Parklands Police Station are calling upon members of the public who may have lost laptops within the city in the recent past to visit the station and establish whether their gadgets could be among 9 laptops recovered in a shop along Luthuli Avenue,” the police said via Twitter.

The tweet added: “This is after two house break-in suspects whose photos are attached above were arrested leading to the discovery. One of the laptops has since been identified by the owner who had reported its loss.”
Dozens of Kenyans have come up to claim that they have lost their property along Nairobi's CBD including money, mobile phones and laptops.
“I lost two laptops, television, two cameras, three phones and a few more gadgets at Wangige shopping centre. Reported the case to police but I was advised to vacate the place. How can you help,” a Chelule tweeted.
Apostle Jason Winners added: “These rogue police officers has been colluding with criminals to harass the public. This is good job by our able DCI we are proud of you Mr George Kinoti… God bless you Sir.”
Police in the recent past especially from the Investigative arm have been unfolding thuggery dens and cash swindling cartels, especially through mobile phones.
Just this week, nearly five people have been arrested with links to SIM-card swapping which rip Kenyans millions of shillings in cyber breach.
