"In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club," Williams said during the interview with Sharpe (at the 19:55 mark).

After digging into the likes of other comics like Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, Williams took another dig at Hart later in the over-two-and-a-half-hour interview.

"For a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk that all I had said was just, 'Can we take some of this Stepin Fetchit shit out and then I can do it,'" said Williams (1:29:00 mark), referring to the 1930s Black actor who found fame for playing someone lazy.

"Like it don't need to be overtly homosexual cuz I'm not homosexual right? It doesn't need that to be funny, right? And me saying that and them going, 'Oh yeah, no problem,' and then going to give it to this other guy and having him do it just like it was and acting like I'm a bad person because I keep standing on my standard. Yeah, it's interesting, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Again, I'm on the winning side of these decisions."

This isn't the first time Hart and Williams have gone at it. In 2018, Hart stood up for Tiffany Haddish, who Williams was bashing at the time, saying she hadn't earned her stripes in the comedy world.

While promoting his and Haddish's movie 'Night School' on the radio show "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LKFTS-rZRU">The Breakfast Club,</a>" Hart went off on Williams.

"My frustration with Katt Williams comes from you keep pointing at Hollywood, Hollywood this, the white man, this, this and this, when do you take responsibility for your actions?" Hart said (8:00 mark). "You had the shot. You were the guy. You were set up to be the star. You didn't show up to work. You fucked off promo shoots. You fucked off your promo trips they set up for you. You became a risk to the studios which is why the studios stopped fucking with you."

"Why was he a risk?" asked "Breakfast Club" cohost Charlamagne tha God.

"He chose drugs," Hart answered. "Take responsibility for what you chose."

Haddish said Williams apologized to her at that year's Emmys and posted a picture on Instagram of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn2Wws8lk_G/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=4f6bea29-ee46-4fae-82d1-bb554d4d429f&amp;img_index=1">Williams bowing on his knees to her</a>.

Following Williams' appearance on "Club Shay Shay," Hart took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to Williams, while also promoting his upcoming movie on Netflix, "Lift."

"Gotta get that anger up outcha champ. It's honestly sad," Hart wrote. "In the meantime. Please enjoy MY MOVIE TRAILER to my next film "LIFT" which will be dropping on @netflixin 8 days!!!!

"There is a moment in the trailer where @gugumbatharaw says 'They Really Love You' .I now know she's talking about 'Katt,'" he added, followed by laugh-crying emojis.

Katt Williams has gone viral for his Wednesday appearance on Shannon Sharpe's YouTube show "Club Shay Shay" in which the comic unleashed a bevy of disparaging comments on several stars, including fellow comedian Kevin Hart.

Williams, who is best known as a stand-up comedian, made his first movie appearance in the 'Friday' sequel, playing a pimp named Money Mike.

According to Williams, when he first auditioned for the role, the script contained a scene in which Mike was assaulted in a bathroom.

Speaking on the Club Shay Shay podcast on Wednesday, Williams said he spoke out against the scene after being cast in the role.

"Katt Williams had to take the risk in front of the studios and the cast and the power that be in his very first movie, and say, 'Respectfully, humbly, guys, if we're talking about anything else, I have no credibility and I have no pull. But we're talking about comedy where I have all the credibility and all the pull,'" Williams recalled.

He continued: "The problem with <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/michael-blackson-small-next-friday-residual-check-2015-8?r=US&amp;IR=T">'Friday After Next'</a> is we're trying to make a classic comedy, and this comedy involves a rape, and rape is never funny, no matter who it happens to, or what the circumstances are."

Williams — whose character ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the movie — said he promised to create an even funnier scene if the assault was removed.

Williams also addressed claims that he took the role of Money Mike from another comedian.

Rickey Smiley, who plays the robber Santa Claus in the 2002 movie, said on the <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfXrjmx_xQs">Pierre's Panic Room</a> podcast in 2022 that he was supposed to play Money Mike, and Williams was supposed to play the burglar.

"Somebody and <a href="https://www.insider.com/ice-cube-shares-anti-semitic-conspiracy-theories-on-twitter-2020-6">Ice Cube</a> decided to switch it up," Smiley said.

However, speaking on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Williams said he only auditioned to play Money Mike.

In a taped interview set to air on Tuesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, host Drew Barrymore brought up the couple's separation while discussing Pinkett Smith's recent memoir, "Worthy."

"I feel like maybe your and his shadow separated in a way in this book, whether they stay together forever or not. It sounds like you're staying together forever," Barrymore says in a preview clip published by Entertainment Weekly.

Pinkett Smith replies: "We're staying together forever. I tried. We tried."

In October, <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-view-jada-pinkett-smith-separation-will-smith-sell-books-2023-10">Pinkett Smith</a> shocked the world by dropping the bombshell that she and Smith have been separated since 2016.

Pinkett Smith, who has been married to Smith <a href="https://www.insider.com/will-smith-jada-pinkett-relationship-history-2018-9">since 1997</a> and has two children with the actor, said during an interview with Today show host Hoda Kotb that she and Smith were not planning to legally divorce.

"I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying," Pinkett Smith said.

At a book tour event following that interview, Pinkett Smith said that she wanted to recommit to her marriage with Smith after he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards.

<a href="https://www.insider.com/jada-pinkett-smith-will-smith-oscars-slap-recommit-marriage-2023-10">As Business Insider</a> previously reported, Pinkett Smith said at an event in New York City: "When I was sitting at the Oscars, it clicked in, I was like, 'Oh snap, you hit Chris?'"

"I was like, 'I'm riding with you. I didn't come into this place as your wife, but I'm leaving here as your wife because we got a storm we're gonna have to deal with together. I am NOT going to leave your side,'" said the actor.

Pinkett Smith added: "I said, 'I'm not gonna be able to get away from this dude. I really love him.'"

Smith also joined Pinkett Smith onstage at a book tour event in Baltimore, Maryland, in October, and appeared to react to the revelations made in his wife's memoir.

The 'King Richard' star said of their relationship: "We call it 'brutiful.' It was brutal and beautiful at the same time."

He added: "Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life."
