<p>But, um, who is Hilary Duff getting married to, exactly? </p>

<p>Well, his name is Matthew Koma, and he's the father of Hilary's second child, a baby girl named Banks Violet Bair, born late last year. (More on the name later!) Hilary also has a son, Luca, whos 6, with former husband Mike Comrie. </p>

<p>Well, <a href="http://www.matthewkoma.com/" id="4cce6867-08ab-3301-a422-8973479a2659">  Matthew </a> is a singer, songwriter, and producer (and a bit reminiscent of the character Josh on Younger, tbh). Hilary and Matthew keep a pretty low-profile and dont post a ton of pics together on social media. Still, here's what we know about Hilary and Matthew so far:</p>

<p>His Wikipedia page notes that he's a professional bowler, but we have yet to confirm whether or not that's a joke. After all, from the looks of it, hes got a great sense of humor.</p>

<p>In an interview with <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/941694/hilary-duff-shares-matthew-koma-relationship-update-has-her-mom-approved" id="e94627d6-cc6d-33e1-af11-641ed4fe6ead">  E! News </a> , Hilary shared that her mom is a big fan of her boo. "My mom was at Matt's birthday and she was like, I just love him. I love him so much. He's the best.' I'm like, 'I'm here. I exist, you know? You're always on my side!'"</p>

<p>Twice, actually. Hilary appeared on The Talk in December 2017, not long after she got back together with Matt for the third time, reports <a href="https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/hilary-duff-on-matthew-koma-romance-third-times-the-charm/" id="6f354928-066f-3e67-a6bb-a3b1b2100946">  US Weekly </a> . On the show, she blamed their past breakups on timing.</p>

<p>I think that you have history and a past with someone and love, and just because it doesnt work out the first time, the second time, she continued, as long as theres not too much damage done, then, it can always work out again."</p>

<p>Sure, 2017 may have been rough for the duo, but it seems its been bliss ever since. "Third time's the charm!" she joked on the show.</p>

<p>Matthew posted the same pic, with an equally cute caption: We made a baby girl! She will be as beautiful and sweet as her mother... @hilaryduff another incredible chapter begins. </p>

<h1> Matthew celebrated the birth in a unique way.  </h1>

<p>The couple announced the birth of their daughter, Banks Violet Bair, via another super-adorable post. "This little bit has fully stollen our hearts!" wrote Hilary. </p>

<p>Hilary also indicated that she gave birth not at the hospital, but at home, saying: "She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic." </p>

<p>Matthew posted the same photo, with the caption, "Banks Violet Bair /// 10.25.18 /// We welcome a beautiful daughter, little sister, and best friend for life. Could not possibly be more grateful for our growing family and for the who makes it all possible. Cloud ten."</p>

<p>Matthew apparently commemorated the birth of his daughter by getting a haircut, and then dying his hair...pink, according to Hilary's Instagram stories. </p>

<p>Hilary posted several more photos of Banks on her Stories immediately after making the big announcement. </p>

<p>Is it just me or does she look exactly like Lizzie McGuire? </p>

<p>Based on her Instagram, Hilary and Matthew continued to make a great team after Banks was born. Hilary frequently shared posts of the whole family spending quality time together. </p>

<h1> Hilary struggled with breastfeeding.  </h1>

Last week was my last week nursing Banks (my six month old) I am a working mom of two. My goal was to get my little girl to six months and then decide if I (and her of course) wanted to keep going. Let me tell you. Pumping at work sucks. I had zero down time and am usually pumping in a hair and make up trailer while four hands work to get me ready for the next scene with lots of other people around. Even if I had the luxury to be in my own room, its not even considered a break because you have to sit upright for the milk to flow into the bottles! Plus you are having your damn nipples tugged at by an aggressive machine that makes an annoying sound, that echoes through your head day and night (I swear that machine and I had many conversations at midnight and 3 am)! Ttttthen having to find someplace to sterilize bottles and keep your milk cold (ok Im done with that rant lol)! Anyway, I didnt know this because with Luca I didnt work until he was about nine months old, so I didnt pump very often. Your milk supply drastically drops when you stop feeding as often and lose the actual contact and connection with your baby (). So I was eating all the feunugreek goats butt blessed thistle fennel cookies/drops/shakes/pills I could get my hands on! It was maddening. (Does fenugreek make anyone else smell like maple syrup and rubber gloves?...not chill) With all of this complaining, I want to say I enjoyed (almost) every moment of feeding my daughter. Felt so lucky to be so close to her and give her that start. I know many women are not able to and for that I am sympathetic and very grateful that I could. For six wonderful months. But I needed a break. I was going to break. With the stress of a dropping milk supply and a baby that was getting bored or not caring about nursing when I was available to. I was sad and frustrated and feeling like a failure all of the time. When really Im a bad ass rock star. Moms get high on feeling like superwoman...because we are! Doing too much, because we can!
