Keroche Breweries boss Tabitha Karanja has spoken about her daughter <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/tabitha-karanja-speaks-on-daughter-tecra-muigais-death-for-the-first-time/thf05h9">Tecra Muigai’s death for the first time.</a> Ms Karanja who was marking 100 days after the burial of her daughter said her death, left her heartbroken, and time has changed nothing.

She went on to state that&nbsp;the only thing that has changed&nbsp;instead, is her eyes opening up to more truths.

Tabitha Karanja mentioned that that from the time Tecra was born, she was attracted to her curiosity and became her source of ideas in private and public life as a business woman, adding that she misses her daughter who was the Strategy and Innovations Director at Keroche Breweries.

“This week marks 100 days since we laid to rest my last born daughter Tecra. Her death left me brokenhearted without an idea of how to move forward. People say to give it time. But truth is that time changes nothing. What has changed is my eyes have been opened to more truths. 29 years ago when Tecra was gifted to me, I was drawn to her insatiable curiosity. Through the years i benefited from her outlook of the world. She became my sounding board in my very private life and my public life as an entrepreneur. I dearly miss her counsel and company. I've heard from friends in 20 countries whose lives Tecra touched &amp; inspired. Her life proves what differentiates people is - opportunity. Thank you all for prayers that helped ease our pain. For those in a similar place, i pray for grace to live &amp; grieve at the same time,” tweeted Tabitha Karanja.

YouTuber Peter Kabi popularly known as Kabi WaJesus has disclosed that he once believed that the best jobs in this life was to either be a bus conductor (Makanga) or a thief.

Kabi said that growing up in Kayole, <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/nilikuwa-najua-the-best-career-was-either-kuwa-makanga-ama-mwizi-kabi-wajesus/jy4xbgl">he did not have role models </a>and this contributed a lot to his decision.

He went on to say that of the two jobs, he did not want to be a thief because he was afraid he’d steal and get beaten, so he chose to be a bus conductor because he could make money on a daily basis.

The YouTuber mentioned that it was the life he wanted but once he stepped out of it, and got saved, he realized there was more to life and he could get more than that.

The Citizen TV news anchor shared a screenshot of a Facebook post made by a guy identified as&nbsp;Empirer Kithu,&nbsp;urging the people of Mwala Constituency to get used to their MP “Mapema”.

The statement had been shared in a Facebook Group called&nbsp;“Mwala Constituency University and College Students Development Forum”&nbsp;that has over 5.7K members.

Upon seeing the post, Ms Muli reverted back saying she was grateful for all those wishing her well.

Following the good news, Friends and colleagues in the media went on to send the TV girl congratulatory messages as she awaits the coming of her new bundle of joy.

Kenyan Boy band Sauti Sol have explained the meaning behind their hit song Rhumba Japani which has attracted a good number of fans from their recently launched album, Midnight Train.

Sauti Sol decided to tell their fans&nbsp;why they wrote the song that features Sol Generation singers <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/sauti-sol-explain-the-meaning-behind-the-song-rhumba-japani/5w3xj5c">Bensoul and Nviiri the Storyteller, Kaskazini, Xenia Manasseh, Okello Max and Nairobi Horns,</a> after a fan identified as Nya Mgezenge, asked to know what the song means.

“I want to know what that Rhumba Japani song means&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/sautisol/">@sautisol</a>&nbsp;it's one of my favs on the album,” asked the Fan.

The boy band then responded saying that there was a Congolese band called Rhumba Japan they used to watch play in Nairobi after their practice, as they waited for rush hour to end so that bus fare could reduce.

Sauti Sol went on to say that the song is a poem to the band and the significance of that time&nbsp;in their lives and music journey.

“There's a Congolose band called Rhumba Japan. We used to go watch them play at a pub in Nairobi after our practice to avoid rush hour bus fare because that's when it was affordable to go home. The jam is an ode to them and the significance of those times in our journey,” explained Sauti Sol.

Former Citizen TV presenter&nbsp;Joey Muthengi opened up on how she starved herself, just to fit into clothes she was given to wear for her show, while she worked for Citizen TV.

Ms Muthengi said that when she landed the TV job, she stopped eating because she was under immense pressure to maintain her image, and she thought she was fine.

She pointed out that&nbsp;the TV job had stressed her so much, and when one of her friends sent her a picture of how she looked before the TV job, she couldn't recognize herself <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/the-job-had-stressed-me-to-the-point-of-losing-myself-joey-muthengi-on-starving/lvex224">and decided to quit, to focus on her health.</a>

“I got it under control for a few years after then somehow I landed on TV. Then I stopped eating at all. I looked great in those dresses they gave me but underneath I was suffering. I felt so much pressure to maintain this image that I just stopped eating. Girls in the hallway would ask me..."My God Joey how do you stay so thin?" And I would just laugh and keep it moving. I honestly thought I was fine. And that's the thing with eating disorders. You don’t see it yourself. But others do,” she wrote.

Joey who currently works as a radio host with Capital FM mentioned that she went to Caucasian schools where being thin was a ‘thing’ and she grew up keeping herself a skinny Becky.

I tried to commit suicide 4 times - Singer Jackie Chandiru

Ugandan singer Jackie Chandiru aka&nbsp;The Queen of the Nile&nbsp;recently disclosed that she tried to commit suicide four times because of&nbsp;the struggles she was going through, but all the attempts failed.

In an interview with Jalang’o, Chandiru narrated that life had pushed her to a tight corner and the only available solution was to commit suicide, to evade all the suffering she was going through, <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/the-internet-killed-me-4-times-i-tried-suicide-4-times-singer-jackie-chandiru-opens/38wg0ds">but God had a different plan for her.</a>

“I was actually killed like four times; I don’t even know because that time I was in hospital. I was in rehab and then somebody will say I have seen something on YouTube like ‘RIP Jackie Chandiru we shall miss you’. The internet killed me four times and I also tried to commit suicide four times. Most of the time I was killed on the internet I was still in Rehab. I was tired Jalas. I was tired of the rumours, tired of the stories… I’m sure you have seen pictures of me, I didn’t care about life, what I looked like anymore and I didn’t want to exist anymore. I believed I was much better off dead. And even before all this attempts I prayed to God, I would say, I know suicide is not allowed but I just can’t be here anymore. I was sinking more and more into depression,”&nbsp;said Jackie Chandiru.

A few years ago, photos of a slim looking Chandiru surfaced online after being checked into rehab for the second time to help her beat her addiction. She clarified that she was addicted to a prescription drug called&nbsp;Pethidine&nbsp;that she was using for her back pain and not cocaine or heroin.

According to Jackie, the addiction cost her, her marriage. At the time, time she was married to Billionaire&nbsp;Nol Van Vliet. Their marriage lasted for only three years.

Diamond Platnumz’s manager Hamisi Tale Tale popularly known as&nbsp;Babu Tale&nbsp;spoke for the first time, 45 days after the death of his wife&nbsp;Shamsa Kombo Tale.

In a post seen by&nbsp;#Uhondo, Tale shared a video of his late wife goofing around their living room as she walked away.

He went on to caption the video saying that it has been 45 days since she passed away and&nbsp;he still feels like he is living in a dream.

Corazon Kwamboka and Frankie  welcome a Bouncing baby boy named Taiyari

Socialite&nbsp;Corazon Kwamboka and her boyfriend Frankie Justgymit welcomed a bouncing baby boy (Taiyari) into their family.

Frankie made the news of Ms Kwamboka’s safe delivery via an 11-minute video, disclosing that they had named their new born&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/corazon-kwamboka-and-frankie-welcome-a-bouncing-baby-boy-named-taiyari-photo/ltm1qpk">“Taiyari”</a>, which means our love in Spanish.

Frankie also revealed that Corazon delivered the new born through caesarean section&nbsp;(C-section).

“Things happened so fast, we were just thinking that August 15th is when the baby is gonna come but its August 3rd and I thinking am gonna be meeting my third Born today. I’m so excited for both of us, it’s such an amazing feeling. I know she wanted to experience the whole birth process, the whole natural birth, pushing, labour pains but this is exciting because we get to see our child earlier than expected but it’s at a healthy stage,”&nbsp;said Frankie.

He later shared a photo on Instagram carrying his baby with a caption that reads “Taiyari 🖤👑”.

We didn’t know he could sing – Sauti Sol’s Bien and Polycarp explain how they signed Nviiri

Sauti Sol band members Bien Aime and Polycarp Otieno explained how they came to sign singer Nviiri&nbsp;The Storyteller&nbsp;under their Sol Generation record label.

Speaking on the second episode of their new docu-series ‘Sol Family’ the two said they had known Nviiri for a very long time because he worked as their behind the scenes videographer,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/we-didnt-know-he-could-sing-sauti-sols-bien-and-polycarp-explain-how-they-signed/sp5dwtv">but didn’t know he could sing.</a>

“We’ve known Nviiri for many years he used to shoot behind the Scenes for us and we didn’t know he could sing,” said Polycarp.

According to Bien, he was at home with Nviiri when he picked up his guitar and started playing it, a move that impressed the Sauti Sol lead singer.

He then told Nviiri whom he described as a uniquely talented individual that he should never go back to work for Sauti Sol as a camera man.

“Siku moja nilikuwa na guitar tu kwa hao Nviiri akachukua guitar akaanza kucheza nikamwambia usiwahi rudi na camera hapa tena. He’s so uniquely talented,” said Bien.

He told me he had no one – Akothee on adopted son lying about being an orphan

Singer Akothee disclosed that the son she picked from the streets and adopted as her own Shadrack Mwita lied about being an orphan.

According to her, when they first met, Mwita told her that he had no one to go to, but as soon as he had&nbsp;his artificial leg fixed, his family reappeared&nbsp;and she was under too much pressure.

“Mission Accomplished. ❤❤❤❤Shadrack Mwita has fully recovered now🙏🏾 and can hold and carry heavy things, he can stand on his feet and fend for himself other than begging due to disability👊, he was back in the hospital APDK for 3 weeks ,to have his legs permanently fixed, which has been successfully achieved 🙏🏾 However ,I had to learn how to detach The foundation from interfering with my private life and family life🙏🏾 Shadracks Family reappeared in the picture ,and the pressure was too much for me to handle 🙏🏾.” read part of Akothee’s post.

Madam Boss said that she was shocked when her adopted son said he could not continue living in her palatial home, three days after he returned from hospital, while his family was suffering. He went ahead to ask Akothee to build a house for his grandmother.

Akothee mentioned that at this point, <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/he-told-me-he-had-no-one-akothee-on-adopted-son-lying-about-being-an-orphan/56ye3py">Mwita had become too negative and moody, and this was becoming scary for her.</a>

She then decided to rent out a house for Mwita which she has paid a whole year’s rent as she figure’s out a business that he can do, so that he can take care of his family.

“Moving forward, Shadrack has his own rented house fully paid for a whole year 💪 I am still looking for a business that he can do , so he will help himself and meet his families demands 🙏🏾, He is still under my custody and I make sure he has food and basic needs,

" I can't continue living eating in a palace ,while my family is suffering, , as I promised my family ,that I am going to Mombasa to look for a life ,and once i am successful, I will come and change their lives too So I want mama to go and build for my grandmother a house next week ,says shadrack" 🙏🏾🙏🏾

This was a shock to me, as before this ,he started becoming very negative, Moody and this was scary to me 💪 I didn't know how to handle this , however when I met shadrack ,he told me he had no one 🙏🏾 This was 3 days after we left hospital during lockdown/ carfew 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 On the 12.6.2020 💪

Betty Bayo on moving in with a Man 3 weeks after they met

Singer Betty Bayo disclosed that in her previous relationship, she made a mistakes from the first day and other mistakes followed.

The mother of two mentioned that she was a Christian and saved at the time, but she moved in with a man she had only known for three weeks, without even a wedding as many expected.

According to Betty Bayo, she was then forced to say that they got married in a church wedding, which was not true.

Ex-Churchill show comedian Paul Wakimani Ogutu sued for Ayeiya’s death, family demands Sh21 Million

Comedian&nbsp;Paul ‘Wakimani’ Ogutu&nbsp;has for the first time opened up on being sued for allegedly causing the death of fellow comedian Ayeiya who passed on in 2017&nbsp;following a grisly road accident.

According to Ogutu, Ayeiya’s wife accused him of causing the death of their loved one, and are demanding a Sh21 million compensation.

“After Kuzika Ayeiya we came back to Nairobi, and when we came back to Nairobi I thought that everyone understood that it was an accident kama Kawaida. So after a week or two, the wife (Ayeiya’s Wife) called me akaniambia ako na Barua yangu, so nikasema niko na shughuli kidogo nikimaliza I will come. That day sikuweza kukutana na yeye, then I met her on the second day. On that second day she was serving me a court order.

"A court order that I am supposed to pay for killing her husband. It’s not a lie what Zeddy said, ati nadaiwa Sh21 million and it’s not a lie what the bloggers said ati nadaiwa pesa by the family. The family has been constant, mimi nimejaribu sana vitu ziwork between me and the family,”&nbsp;said Paul Wakimani Ogutu in part.

“Wakili alinipigia simu akaniambia kuna barua yako imefika hapa na inasema Ayeiya was earning Sh300K a month. So since Ayeiya was earning Sh300K every month and he died at 31, when he is retiring, he is supposed to retire at the age of 55, so they did the math of 300K multiplied by 12 and the remaining years before he hits 55 years. Na ukiangalia court charges unaona ni lazima pia na shughulikia damages, so roughly it was heading to around Sh20.

Which I will say here right now the cases in Court I cannot talk about the case but I can share what I have received. So I am in court that is also what made me to go into depression. Case iko court ni Corona tu imesimamisha.

Media Personality Anita Nderu&nbsp;caused a hullaballoo on social media after sharing a sneak peek of her hosting two gay men (Victor Maish and Romeo the Bossy) on her cooking show “The overdressed Cook”.

Ms. Nderu and her guests sexualized their conversation as they talked about pornography and other things.

In the video, a bottle of Fresh Fri cooking oil could be seen, prompting Netizens to conclude that Fresh Fri were sponsoring the show with product placement.

Following the virality of the video and the discussion around the video that bears LGBTQ members, Fresh Fri issued a statement stating that they had not engaged Ms. Nderu for any type of advertisement but thanked her for being their customer.

“Fresh Fri would like to state that we have not engaged Anita Nderu for product placement or any other advertising of any kind. However, we would like to thank her for being a Fresh Fri consumer. Fresh Fri is keen on delivering quality products that promote #HealthyLiving,”&nbsp;reads a statement from Fresh Fri.

Both&nbsp;Victor Maish and Romeo the Bossy&nbsp;have always been proud members of the LGBTQ community in Kenya.

Despite the explanation, Kenyans on Twitter found it hard to believe the Fresh Fri statement, as they went ahead to screenshot all videos from Ms. Nderu’s cooking show with the cooking oil strategically displayed.

Socialite cum lawyer&nbsp;Corazon Kwamboka&nbsp;is set to be a mom after announcing pregnancy with a cute baby bump photo as she looks forward to welcoming a new born into this world.

An excited Kwamboka, said that she is grateful and happy to be carrying another life inside her.

The bootylicious socialite also pointed out that in January last year she was almost giving up on getting pregnant based on the fact that she had been diagnosed with&nbsp;Endometriosis.

Ken Mijungu fired from NTV

NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu was among a number of employees sacked by Nation Media Group this week.

Confirming the news, Ken posted a message on social media in which he expressed bitterness over the manner in which he was let go.

The journalist stated: "7 years...summed up in a two-page letter..." indicating that the news may have taken him aback.

He, however, still expressed gratitude to his now former employer for the opportunity accorded to him during his stint at the media house.

"The axe fell @NTVnewsroom and I was on its way. 7 years in those corridors summed up in a two page letter of termination. We live to fight another day. Thanks to God, He remains the greatest, thank you @ntvkenya for the opportunity and thank you for always staying tuned,"&nbsp;he tweeted on Friday.

Jalang’o pens down emotional message to fans as he addresses comedians and artistes deaths

Comedian and radio presenter&nbsp;Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o&nbsp;has penned down an emotional appeal to fans and comedians, as he addressed the issue of the increased comedian and artiste deaths in the country.

In a long post,&nbsp;Heavy J Baba called on fans not to assume that they are rich, just because they see them (comedians) on TV and they should stop judging them because they are normal people.

He went on to mention that the judging and setting standards for these comedians is what drives them into depression because fans have set standards for them, which they cannot meet.

Jalang’o’s words come days after the death of Churchill show comedian Kasee, who is reported to have passed on while on his way home. Other reports said the comedian might have fallen into depression.

Jalas as he is known by others told artistes and comedians that success takes time and they must be patient to get to where those who have made it are.

He used himself as an example, stating that he started his career back in 2005 at the Kenya National Theatre (KNT), and asked them to trust the process.

He also asked the comedians to reach out to them whenever they have challenges, as he reminded them that alcohol and drugs only takes away their problems for a short time.

DJ Evolve speaks out for the first time

On, Monday emotions ran high as&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/video-of-dj-evolve-being-discharged-from-hospital-surfaces-online/c14vspe">Felix Orinda popularly known as DJ Evolve&nbsp;</a>narrated his pain and struggles for the first time since being discharged from Hospital.

Speaking to&nbsp;NTV,&nbsp;DJ Evolve who is currently numb from his mid-torso downwards, disclosed that he cannot do anything for himself, and fully depends on other people to do things for him.

In the interview, Orinda struggled with speech due to a tube that has been attached to his neck to help sanction and clear his air way.

"I’m Okay generally, I’m doing better as opposed to when it first happened. I was really traumatized at the beginning but I learnt to live with it. At least nowadays I can be able to sleep, but before I couldn’t sleep at all, I kept having flash backs of the fateful day. I needed medication to put me to sleep,"&nbsp;said DJ Evolve.

Evolve who is recuperating at home, mentioned that his health is slowly improving as he can now move his hands a bit, something that was not possible before.

“I’m slightly able to move my limbs (Hands), that’s the much I can do, but I can’t be able to move my arms. Not really, because these were my tools of trade, so when I don’t have them there is no way I can be able to work. But generally, looking at it, its better because I can move them, but before I couldn’t do that. I’m currently …just here. There is nothing I do for myself, so I’m fully dependent on people do to things for me," narrated DJ Evolve.

Asked whether he has forgiven the person who shot him, DJ Evolve said;

“I left that to God and I’m waiting for the justice system to see what will go through. But aside from that, I don’t have anything else to say.”

Andrew Kibe quits Kiss 100

Kiss 100 presenter Andrew Kibe has announced that he has parted ways with the station&nbsp;about a year after joining the Radio Africa Group owned radio station.

In a tweet, the controversial radio host said that it has been a good run, and he will miss working with his co-host&nbsp;Kamene Goro, with whom they co-hosted the Kiss Breakfast every morning.

“It's been real watu nguyas. I will miss all your nonsense in the morning especially&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/KameneGoro/">@KameneGoro</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/Kiss100kenya/">@Kiss100kenya</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23KameneAndKibe">#KameneAndKibe</a>,” tweeted Kibe.

He however, did not divulge further into why he was leaving the station and where he is heading to next.

Kamene Goro with whom they co-hosted the Kiss Breakfast together responded to Kibe’s tweet with the following words, “Si poa......”

Kibe’s departure came a few days after comedian and radio presenter&nbsp;Jalang’o&nbsp;hinted that he will be heading back to Radio Africa Group, where he started his radio career.

Prezzo talks about depression and joining Mungiki

Veteran&nbsp;Rapper Jackson Makini Ng’echu aka Prezzo&nbsp;has shared a little known details about his life, disclosing that there is a time he was depressed and forced to stay indoors for a whole year and later on joined Mungiki under the leadership of Maina Njenga.

Speaking to CTA, CMB Prezzo said that after his wedding with Daisy (Mama Zari) in 2008, he had tough choices to make because his then wife loved Nge’chu but hated Prezzo.

He further explained that, a few years into the marriage he had to choose music over his wife and moved out, but his life started moving downhill, as he slowly fell into depression.

“At that time Daisy Mama Zari, loved Ng’echu but hated Prezzo and wanted me to stop doing music and probably be an accountant or a teacher somewhere, a carpenter…anything but not music. And I was like I spent so much time building this brand and I’m not gonna just leave it like that. So from that point on wards, I left them with that Mansion that I was living in and I took another penthouse. So for also most a year I lost myself. For one year, I used to have my bodyguard bringing me food, bringing me whatever I need in the house, I never left the house for a whole year. I was like I was in a house arrest and slowly getting into depression,”&nbsp;says Prezzo.

A year later, Prezzo got an invite to meet with Maina Njenga&nbsp;and given a chance to join Mungiki as Youth leader and he said yes to the offer.
