The High Court on Friday ruled that the tender process to acquire a company to print the August 8 General Election ballot papers should start a fresh.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was ordered to re-advertise tender for the printing of the presidential ballot papers following complaint launched by NASA.

The court cancelled the tender awarded to Dubai-based firm, Al Ghurair Printing Company to print the papers.

However, the firm will continue printing ballot papers for the other elective positions.

The Opposition moved to court to block Al Ghurair from printing the paper stating that the firm had tight links with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
