Expect more explosions at Dusit - Police warns

More explosions expected at Dusit

An officer from the Bomb Disposal Unit going to detonate explosives at the DusitD2 complex

Police officers on Thursday stated that more explosions should be expected at the Dusit Complex.

The expected blasts are termed safe by a team of officers from the Bomb Disposal Unit who plan to detonate the explosives left behind by the terrorists.

This comes after the DCI office appealed to the public through their twitter account to provide the police with information to aid the investigations into the Tuesday attack.

Security personnel on Wednesday regained control of the building after an 18 hour siege.

Inspector General Joseph Boinnet had earlier stated that the death toll had risen from 14 to 21.

According to the police boss, among the 7 dead was a police officer who succumbed to injuries sustained during the rescue operation.

Dusit Closure

The management of Dusit through the Corporate Communications Officer Ravisa Angekeeros VP, had announced the closure of the infrastructure until further notice.

“Our guests and upcoming reservations are being relocated to other hotels in the city,” stated Angekeeros.

The communications officer pointed out that efforts were still being conducted to ensure that all staff members and guests were accounted for.

Angeekeeros further condoned the Alshabaab attack and had sent condolences to the families and friends affected.
