Singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee has disclosed why she has opted to cross over to the Gospel Industry, days after going public with her Salvation status.

Speaking during EMB Re-birth Party, the Baraka hit maker said the secular world is full of talent killers (jealous of each other) and that’s why she is joining the gospel fraternity, where you only need Jesus.

“In the secular industry you don’t know if someone you are speaking to is your enemy or supporter. We don’t have cheerleaders in this industry, we have killers of talent. I applause all the gospel artistes because you know in church all you need is Jesus. The church is always full, that’s why I want to jump to gospel because it’s easier for me" said Akothee.

Record label

She also mentioned that she is not ready to open a record label of her own because most Kenyan artistes are very disrespectful and ungrateful.

“I will never start a label because Kenyan artistes are the most indiscipline, disrespectful, ungrateful and dishonest people" added Akothee.

Her revelation comesdays after she affirmed that she is now saved, but not ready to change her dressing code because nudity is not a sin as everyone came out of their mothers' wombs without clothes.

''I got saved but I will not change my dress code. God does not see that as a sin. I came out of my mother's womb without clothes,'' said Akothee in a recent Interview.
