The special request Akothee's daughter made to her mum

This is very thoughtful of Akothee's daughter.

The singer’s last-born daughter requested her mother to sponsor one girl’s school fees instead of getting her all the finer things in life.

“I would have asked for a new wardrobe, a car, party hata ndege (airplane) because you can get me any of these things if I ask but honestly I don’t want any of those things. Instead of spending all that money on me I would love that you pay for a girl child who is suffering somewhere in this country with school fees because there is more to giving than receiving,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

Akothee surprised by her daughter’s request reposted her daughter’s message expressing how she didn’t see it coming.

Akothee’s message to her daughter on her birthday

During that time, Akothee had also found out that she was pregnant with her daughter.

She went on to reveal how she felt embarrassed at the fact that she had gotten pregnant again especially after moving back in with her parents seeing that her and her baby’s father were still in school.

“Your father was still in love with me and visited me in my small mabati house in Asego Kanyada as I was a day scholar. I was so attached to my children that boarding school was a no for me! I remember him buying me a stove so that it would be easy and faster for me to prepare my breakfast and not get late for school. Your father was a student too so he only shared with me what he had.

Most of the support I got from my grandmother & my parents. See what the stove brought on board! After the stove, the following month was a no-go school. Apudo  makadia was created! I was so confused. It was another embarrassing moment for me & my parents. I didn’t know what to do & where to go with this pregnancy but you know what, I decided to take it to the owner."

There was however a silver lining to the trials that she faced and that was the birth of her daughter Fancy.
