“He himself offered to release the six; only that it was quite late on Friday. On Monday, all of them will be out,” said Lady Maureen.

Lady Maureen and two of her band members were released after her fellow artistes paid their fine from funds that had been raised in six days through a WhatsApp group.

Reports of the Queen of Ohangla and his band member’s arrest came in on Thursday after they had stayed behind bars for nine days.

They were arrested for allegedly working in Tanzania without work permits.
