“I lifted an orange PK chewing gum and shouted while gesturing to him (Mr. President) can I sell you this?” recalls Dennis Murimi

Kenyatta’s security detail tried to block him but the President who was addressing the crowd had already seen him and gestured at his security personnel to allow the young man get closer to him.

“Everything happened so fast I could not believe it. When I got close to his vehicle, all I could do was to offer him a mint gum worth Sh20” said Murimi who spoke to NairobiNews.

The President gladly accepted his gift and cupped his benefactor’s head in his hand whispering something into his ear.

“He simply asked me what I wanted form him. I was in shock and I could not believe that I was talking to the head of state. I couldn't’t talk” revealed Murimi

Murimi who still lives with his family added that he makes roughly Sh700 on a good day.
