Witness accounts state that the deceased had gone to fetch water from Nyaguthii’s water tank as has been the norm with many villagers in the neighbourhood.

John Ngige, the deceased’s father-in-law said the suspect was a generous woman who assisted locals with clean water and was surprised when he received the news on the killing.

Senile

Mary was arrested immediately after residents called the police who took her to Elementaita Police Station. The body of the deceased was taken to Nakuru County mortuary.

Mr. Ngige said they were left in shock since there was no dispute between the suspect and the deceased or their families when the incident happened.
