Bentley just delivered its first batch of cars to Kenya's super rich — here are the photos

It will cost a buyer between Sh30 million to Sh45 million to purchase the luxurious car, depending on the level of customization.

Dimitris Karakoulas, the Porsche Centre Nairobi general manager, said they are getting ready to deliver six Bentleys to their affluent owners.

He said that they have received orders for the Flying Spur (sedan) and Continental GT (two-door coupé) even though Kenyans prefer the Bentley Bentayga, an SUV.

‘‘We also expect the Mulsanne to be available in the near future,’’ he said.

It will cost a buyer between Sh30 million ($290,000) to Sh45 million ($435,000) to purchase the luxurious car, depending on the level of customization.

“The starting price is $265,000 (Sh27.2 million) and sky is the limit, considering all the personalisation possibilities Bentley is offering to the customers. Bentley is the synonym to extraordinary luxury and performance combined,’’ Mr Karakoulas said.

The entry of Bentley underlines Kenyans’ increased spending on expensive objects of personal enjoyment thanks to overall economic expansion and a rally in the price of specific assets including real estate.

Early this year, the British automaker of luxury cars & SUVs announced the appointment of Multiple Group as the sole authorised importer of Bentley motor cars in the country.

Mutiple Group, a leading provider of transport and logistics solutions in East Africa, already represents German luxury automaker Porsche, a brand that also targets the growing number of high net worth individuals in the country.

Bentley has recently opened a number of dealerships in emerging markets to help increase awareness.
