How much sex you need to have to burn hundreds of calories

Is sex a good form of exercise?

Sex is often considered a form of exercise and it seems probably like the most fun type of exercising. However, how many calories does sex really burn?

One study found that sex burns up to 100 calories for men.

In comparison to a 30 minute light run which burns 213 calories in women while it burns 276 calories in men.

Sex demands only 101 calories in men and 69 in women burning an average of 3.6 calories a minute.

Other physical benefits of sex

Sex does have physical health benefits though. It has been linked with lower rates of cancer, improved mental health and boosts healthier sleeping.
