2. Do not try out new skin care routines the night before or a few days before.

You may be tempted to try out a certain face mask or a DIY you saw online. Don’t. Some of the products may cause a reaction on your skin and the last thing you want is a skin breakout on the morning of your wedding day. Play it safe and just drink lots of water and get enough sleep on the days leading to the wedding day to avoid looking tired.

Puffy eyes appears like you look sleepy/tired which shows off an overall dull appearance and usually ruin any desired makeup looks.

3. Avoid dramatic eyeshadow and smokey eye.

Really, this is not the time to try out those fiery and fierce super bright eyeshadows. Keep it subtle, there’s something about simple elegance that’s so gorgeous on a bride. As for the smokey eye, avoid it as you could cry during the day due to emotions and what not and the you don’t want runny makeup after crying.

4. If you have to wear false lashes, ensure they’re the simple kind.

No drag queen lashes on your wedding day please. In fact, the best thing is to have your natural lashes and add mascara.

5. No cakey foundation.

The biggest makeup sin you could do on your wedding day is having the wrong shade of foundation. Hence point number one. Once you’re through with the makeup, do a flash test to see if the makeup was blended well so as not to look terrible when photos are taken with flash.
