Following the many controversies in his previous party Wiper, some political pundits alleged that he has been shying away from the political rallies because of his differences with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who is also Odinga running mate in the August 8 General Election.
However, Muthama on Monday came out to clear the air of any speculations of him not being part of NASA.
In a statement, the Machakos Senator divulged that he has been away, working in the office to make sure that the former Prime Minister wins the upcoming poll.

Muthama noted that he will soon join the ODM chief in his campaign across the country.
"There are times to work in the office and I'm doing that Baba must win and be sworn in on 9/ 8/ 017.
"Soon I will be there to speak and campaign for NASA and our liberators and the only one RAO," Muthama said.
The flamboyant Senator highlighted that: "Please note that I'm deputy to Hon.Mudavadi in NASA'S campaign that is why kazi ya mkono lazima".
"We need tallying centre and adopt a polling station some one must do the work watch this space," he added.
