Bomb scare in CBD as residents rush to safety

Panic in town

The strange device was discovered at an agrovet along the busy Uhuru Street where it was neatly kept in a box.

Police were quickly called to scene where they conducted tests and discovered that the gadget was not an explosive.

Area Administration Police Commandant Peter Nzimbi stated that detectives had established that the gadget was a power circuit.

A young man from the area was questioned and admitted that he had left the power circuit inside the shop without the attendant's knowledge.
